complete miscarriage

My name is Kacie and I'm 25 years old. My husband, Dan, and I have been married for 2.5 years and decided this past January to start TTC. On October 25 I found out we were expecting and unfortunately, yesterday, my biggest fear came true as I started bleeding and my hcg levels plummeted. I was told I had a miscarriage. My heart hurt. I was sad. Being a mommy and my husband being a daddy is one of my biggest dreams, and suddenly my dreams came crashing down. 

I'm heartbroken. I'm sad. I'm confused. But I also serve a mighty God who tells me that he will never give me more than I can handle. 

We are anxious to start trying again, but I don't know WHEN we should. My OB told me to wait one cycle, but I don't know when to technically count my cycle. Is my bleeding now considered a cycle? Or do I wait until I have a period later this month?
