kinda need help

So I'm 16 years old and I'm kinda scared to tell my mom that me and my boyfriend are having sex. She keeps asking me and I keep telling her no bc at the beginning of my relationship she said if I am then she's gonna kill me. But last week she said that if I am that she'll put me on birth control and get stuff. I'm scared of her reaction if I do tell her. Any suggestions?
