Direct sales parties 📦🎁🛍
Why do you go to a direct sales party (Jamberry, Avon, Thirty one, etc)?

I am often invited and go to be polite and (even when buying something cheap) I spend money that I didn't want to spend.
I don't know how to get out of these parties without hurting someone's feelings. (I also have a more detailed post in Health & Lifestyle if any has advice for my situation.)

I know that no one is literally forcing you to go. But it seems these parties created a certain amount of social pressure on everyone invited to go and buy something. Because if you don't go it will most likely cause hurt feelings. I realize there are exceptions. But I hope you can see where I am coming from with this. I would like to know your opinions.
