40 Weeks Membrane Stripping

today is my due date 11/3 & still no baby as of yet. went to the dr appt . I'm basically 4cm Dilated . my DR stripped my membrane . Now I have horrible back pain and mild cramps. Did the stripping of membrane brig on contractions or make the water break ?
