Baby's first Christmas?

What did you do for your baby's first Christmas? What did you get them for Christmas? My daughter will be 3 months at Christmas time and I'm not sure what to do/get for her. We'll be visiting family during the holidays.

Our baby is due November 25th so she will MAYBE be a month old at Christmas. As we already have everything we should need for her for the first 6 months so I am ordering a custom ornament from etsy with her name, birth time, weight and length for Christmas and we also ordered a special 2016 coin set with all of the current currency and a specially stamped new baby coin (my parents did the same for the year I was born and it is cool looking back to 25 years later as different coins have been phased in and out).

Get her things she can use later. Like 6 months old toys, or things to help her with crawling/ wslking. Can also get her teething toys and such. Mine won't be born until end of November but that's what I'm going to get for her. Infants and little little babies don't need much for their age group. So it's better to get stuff they can use later

I just plan on getting my daughter a few new toys (she is losing interest in the ones she has so I'd be buying some anyway). I may get a cute little outfit for pictures. And I'll most likely get a baby's first Christmas ornament to put next to mine and her dad's first ornaments. She'll be 5 months old when Christmas comes around so she won't remember it but it will be simple stuff to make cute memories for our family.

We are getting an Ornament, books, bath toys, and then some outside toys for next summer. He will be 4 months and we already have lots to toys for up to 6m so just think he can use a little later
