Is the South generally more racist than the North?

I usually had no issues living up North in a interracial relationship.....however in the South people look at you in disgust more.  I have noticed this.  Is it true the South is more racist than the North.   It seems like it to me.

I am in southern Louisiana and I think it's getting better, but I do think yes. I feel like a lot of people here are light years behind the rest of the world.

Racism is everywhere. When you are in Bible Belt states, if you are kissing and groping in the store, people will look at you funny because of the conservative nature of those states not because of the interracial relationship.  I say go where you feel most comfortable and don't let people dictate your happiness.

They very well may be given interracial marriage was illegal for a long time, but I've had very gnarly glares from people when my SO and I are out and about.

And this guy is pasty white and I'm olive toned on a light day . We're in California.

I live in texas and have been in multiple interracial relationships. Never had any issue. It's pretty common actually.

I think it depends where you go really like what part of each state.. everywhere has their racist parts but when i went to katy texas it was the most like non racist place ive seen which blew my mind beings it was texas lol it just depends
