I am over this crap. My mom is constantly making racist remarks casually in conversations, to the point where my so & I just facepalm in disbelief. She's a white conservative, so I guess it shouldn't be shocking, but I loathe it. We are having a girl and I told her the name we are choosing (which is Audrey Talia Mae), and her first response was "that sounds like a black person name". Like WTF!? I've told her openly that she's being racist and she just acts like it's no big deal. I hate that this stuff is becoming acceptable again...like now people who are blatantly racist feel like it's okay and not something to be ashamed of. We are totally going backwards and I'm over it.
