Help, please

Nicole • First time mommy to be! :)
So my baby has a mass in his little chest that is pushing his heart to right side and is squishing his left lung. Baby moves A LOT and is fine. But my specialist let me know that he may likely have to have surgery once he's born in order to get it removed IF it doesn't stop growing with him. I'm 6 months amd it's size of a tangerine. He said not to worry because it's a common thing with other babies that have had the surgery and are perfectly fine. They may have slight breathing problems but nothing too bad. Is this really a common thing in babies? Have any of you ever experienced this? I'm a first time mommy, and I'm pretty overwhelmed with it all.
