water broke but not sure?

I was just taking a shower and I had a sensation like I had to pee. Then it just kept coming out. It seemed like way more than just a normal pee. I'm 39 weeks pregnant. Should I wait for contractions or could this just be a false alarm?

Slap a pad on lay down for 20-30 minutes, stand up and see what happens if you have another gush or trickle etc then it was your water. Sometimes when peeing all of a sudden I go way more then I expected!

Put a pad on and wait 30 min, if it doesn't fill up it most likely wasn't your water!

Your doctor or the ER can test your fluid if it's amniotic fluid or not. But if you don't have any contractions within 6 hours I would for sure go get it tested. You don't want to be leaking all of your fluid and not be in labor.
