Question

Women receiving child support should have to show receipt's at the end of every month to a judge to prove the money is being spent on the child(ren)in order to still receive child support?
I feel they should, if they have nothing to hide they shouldn't have a problem.
I seen this on facebook and was wondering what you ladies think....

Absolutely not. If you as a parent feel like your child's mother/father is using your money and not adequately supporting your child, then the solution is to go out and get custody. And then put them on child support so you can realize (in most cases) how little that money can actually stretch to fully support a child.

My stepson's mother's child support doesn't even cover his grocery bills.

Not automatically but maybe if they've been taken to court for misusing child support in the past they could be required to keep the courts and the person paying the child support updated (maybe quarterly instead of monthly) to ensure they're using the funds correctly now.
If the person was seen fit to be a parent the courts would assume that means they would understand that child support is meant to support the child by using it for food, clothes, medical fees, etc. for the child. If they suspect this isn't the case the person paying the child support can report it to the courts and take legal action. Which makes far more sense than saying "yeah we trust you to raise a child, but you need to show us all your receipts every month." Hell the IRS doesn't do that for taxpayers unless they doubt you're being honest. It would just be too time consuming and divert resources from doing some real good. Our justice system can't babysit everyone all the time.

No not automatically. My ex gives me money every week for formula and nappies  and every penny of it goes on just that, if there was any left over it goes into a 'rainy day' savings account for our son. It would feel like a bit of an insult to me and many other women if I had to 'prove' to my ex and Theresa May that I was using his money responsibly, like I couldn't possibly be in possession of someone else's money unless I was being 'monitored', all because a small percentage of mothers who just so happen to squander it on clothes, alcohol and other silly things.
I think the only time this should be done is if the mother has a poor credit check, has had trouble with money in the past, a gambling problem, drug/alcohol addiction etc, if the parents have a terrible history of despising eachother or if the father just suspects the money is being spent elsewhere for whatever reason. But definitely not automatically for absolutely everyone, it would just be too much an iron fist on the trust that the separated parents, sometimes good friends have for one another.

Nope. Child support exists to even the living conditions between the two households, so not every penny is going to be spent directly on the child. If one person is concerned with how the money is being spent, take it to the court system. Parents receiving child support shouldn't be required to provide the minutia of their every expenditure to the other parent.

I fucking wish lol. My husbands ex spends her child support on going out and drinking and getting her hair done. Its ridiculous. She never buys her son new clothes or good food or anything.

No, that shouldn't be the case automatically. If there's a problem then the paying parent can take the one receiving payments to court and let them decide case by case if it's founded or not. If the court then orders the parent to turn over that information for a time, that's the only time it should have to be done. Some men are just mad about having to pay support and use the court system to harass the kids mother and will try to do everything they can to get out of paying, even charging that the mother isn't using the money for the child. Well if that child is being fed, has a roof over their heads, has clothes to wear, gets medication when they need it, etc, the money is being spent appropriately. Now if support is being paid and the kid is in clothes three sizes too small and is hungry, not being cared for, then that's an issue.

Personally I don't use my child support it goes straight to a savings account that's locked until my son is 18, BUT, idk, this is hard. Because before when I did actually need the child support before I got established and was still in college I remember using it for mostly food to feed my son. Or gas to get to and from college and day care and without it I wouldn't have been able to finish college and stuff... And now I don't even use the money for anything except dropping off the check at the bank every week..
Just depends what you consider a child's needs. Bc to me a child's needs are food, toilet paper, soap, other things you use in the household, even bills... Not just clothes and stuff like that. 
But I def don't think it's cool to be broke and then get that check every week and go buy yourself a mani and take out your new boyfriend to eat somewhere fancy, buy weed or cigs, and then get home and be broke af again. So idk.

Absolutely not. The cost of having a child is way more than you receive in child support. One way or another, that money will be spent on the child, whether it's food, clothes, toys, or rent/mortgage, so the child has a roof over their head.
