Epidural or natural?

My first was natural unmedicated. I progressed steadily and quickly, and I loved that I was able to labor anywhere in the room (I ended up mainly using a squatting bar during contractions, helped open my pelvis and move baby down). Hoping I get to have a similar experience this time around.

My husband and I took Bradley method courses for our first, I had a 37.5 hour induction without an epidural :) it was rough but very possible!

I'm hoping to use a midwife led unit and to do so you need to be low risk and not having epidural. If you have an epidural you'd need to be transferred to the main ward. I love the idea of midwife led unit with a bath in the room, exercise equipment, own room with music system and aromatherapy. Biggest selling point will be my other half being able to stay overnight and access to a communal kitchen rather than rely on hospital food ☺ need access to my music and would dread a shared ward!

I had an epidural the first time and I hated it. I couldn't get up or move, I felt trapped. My labor was long so for a good part of it I was stuck in bed....and it does not relieve all the pain. They kept mine low so when pushing came, I felt it all. I wish I would of just labored and delivered without it.

I had an epidural with my first and did not enjoy the experience. I plan on doing this one natural as long as everything goes well.
