Are any of you ladies doing genetic testing? I'm 10 weeks today and at my second OB appointment they told me I had to decide about genetic testing. Since both my husband and I are of Irish decent I'm getting tested for Cystic Fibrosis, which is just a simple blood test. I'm also getting tested for Down Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome and Spina Bifida. The first round of testing for these just include a blood test and an ultrasound (another chance to see my jelly bean). I only really want the results for Edwards Syndrome since that's the only one that worries me. I wouldn't be able to bring myself past the simple testing though, no needles in my belts near my jelly bean! However, my MIL is disappointed in me for wanting to have this done.
