Am I in labor?

At 35 weeks and 5 days I started getting consistent contractions that started at every 10 minutes and made it to about every 7 they were painful so I went to the hospital. As I was there they calmed down and the doctor checked me and I wasn't dilated at all so they sent me home. Ever since then I've had contractions every single day, nothing super painful yet but idk what to do or what's going on honestly. I'm a ftm and I am 36 weeks today.
