Hip dysplasia anyone?

Question

We are scheduled a visit with orthopedics in 3 weeks as DS have possible hip dysplasia. Anyone going through this or went through it earlier? Do you mind sharing your experience and stories?

My girl does not but my niece did, pretty bad I think actually. They put her in a brace at night and she is 3 now with literally zero issues. She runs and plays and is in dance with absolutely no problems. It's super common and your LO is going to be just fine :)

I have a friend who's daughter had hip dysplacia. She's 19 months old now, and had surgery about a month ago so now she's in the broomstick cast. She's had a few different braces along the way, and it took some creativity with clothes sometimes, but that baby girl is ALWAYS smiling. Her parents have an awesome attitude and it totally transfers to her. She even started walking unassisted at around 17 months in between brace time and surgery!  Kids are SO resilient!

My son was born breach.. when the pediatrician at the hospital looked at him he said he could possibly have hip dysphasia.. as did our pediatrician when we went for our first check up. We were then sent to see a pedis ortho at children's hospital.. before I even had the paper work filled out he said our son was perfect.. due to the way he was postitioned when inside me his hips were very weak when he was born but got stronger every day!!! Praying for a good outcome for you as well!!
