So my husband and I are in college. I don't do a co-op or internship but he does. He happens to have one in our hometown. We have an apartment away at college but can't afford one in our hometown too. We have no one to stay with but his mom and her house is disgusting. Her dog uses puppy training pads because she never house trained her, and the litter box isn't cleaned so the whole house reeks of urine. She's a hoarder and the house makes me feel claustrophobic and depressed. My husband works a lot when we're there so he's never around to be irritated by it and he was raised in it anyway so it doesn't bug him. He doesn't understand how the house makes me feel and I don't know what to do because we really don't have anywhere else to stay 😭
