I cheated on him..

I didn't sleep around or see the guy. I just texted him I missed him. I've told my bf that it was a mistake and that I would never do anything like that again!!!! One minute he wants to take me back and give me a second chance and the next minute he brings it up and says he wants nothing to do with me.... what can I do? I know I've made the mistake but I'm really in love with my bf and would be torn if this didn't work!!! (don't be negative, I need advice)
