Does anyone have advice for a young mother??

I'm 15 years old and 21 weeks pregnant with my baby boy. Even though I'm very young i'm still excited and I have so much support from my family and friends. I would just like to hear about other teen mothers' experiences and get some advice on how to deal with judgement and stress.

Also I feel as if my own mother is somewhat embarrassed of me. She's been like my best friend all my life so it's very hard to feel this way. Has anyone else felt this way?

TBH - if my 15 yo had a baby I would be embarrassed too. She'll come around - just be sure to pull your weight, don't ask for hand outs and finish your schooling. The baby is your responsibility so don't overload your mom.

You know what, if you were my daughter (and you almost could be 😬) I would be proud not embarrassed. You clearly care for your baby and are seeking to do what's right while taking responsibility for your decisions. The absolute best thing you can do is get a great education and pursue a career that allows you to provide a beautiful life for your family. There's absolutely no reason why you can't do that. You got this girl.

Oh and as for judgement little mama, get really good at flipping that hair. People will find a reason to judge you regardless of your age or station in life.

My boyfriends mom got pregnant at 14 and had him at 15. All I can say is you have to grow up now. But don't worry about it too much because your kid will be your age now when you're 30 and you'll have that freedom back. If you're going to do it, do it right and don't be selfish. Finish school. My boyfriends mom got her shit together and finished high school, worked and went to college and now she's a supervisor at Customs & Border Patrol and makes a lot of money and is able to provide for her kids. Just goes to show that it is possible. If you have the support, it's all up to you to give your child a good life. No excuses. & im saying this to give you hope, not be rude. You can do it. Don't let anyone bring you down.

See certain people have their own beliefs and what not. I was 15 when I had my daughter. Just as long as you finish school and be the best mom you can be who cares. Your mom will come around, she just probably needs time. She'll realize that what done is done & she'll love the baby like no other! 🙂

I was 17 had my son at 18...
My grandma was the one who put me down all the time. I ignored it. Talked to my now husband and he kept me going strong.

I'm 15 and 21 weeks this Friday. Anxiety certainly isn't easy, but something I always do to deal with it, is just imagine how darn cute baby will be, and think about how great of a mother you will be! It sure hasn't been easy for me, but I can't wait for it!

About your mom being embarrassed, my dad is the same way, and as sucky as it is, she will start getting excited as time goes by. Good luck! I'm always here for a chat

I'm almost 30 and I'm 16w5d with my second baby and my father is still ashamed of my pregnancy. It's not about age, it's about how you rise to the challenges life is throwing your way and by the sounds of it you are working hard towards getting your life together for yourself and your baby so good for you! Despite what people may say, having a baby young isn't the end of the world or the end of your life- it's the beginning of your new life with the best thing that will ever happen to you. My advice? Keep on doing exactly what you're doing! :-)

I just wanted to tell everyone that I talked to my mom and she told me that she isn't embarrassed but actually very proud that i'm handling things like an adult. She even told me that she's excited to meet her first ever grandchild!! I guess I was just overthinking things but now that I know everything is ok i'm even more excited for my baby to come ❤️

In time, no one will even care :) I've met many mom who had their kids very young and now they're done! They have wonderful kids who are grown and help out and they still look young. It's like retiring early :)
