what does induction REALLY feel like?

Ok ladies.   My doc recommended I induce this Wednesday.    I'm nervous about it.  So give it to me honestly- what does it feel like to be induced?   What can I expect?

I was induced 5 days ago. I was already having contractions, but they weren't strong enough to help me dilate. I wouldn't do it again.

Well.. I am getting induced right now. I've only had the cervix softener which wasn't bad. I just wasn't allowed to get up or use the restroom for two hours. I start pitocin in the morning.

My first birth was completed natural, and I was induced with pit for my second.. Labor is intense either way. However in my
Personal opinion pitocin makes the contractions stronger. Luckily I was only in labor for a bit over 3 hours.

I was induced with my first and everything was so quick it hurt but not like I expected I had a natural birth with my son and the delivery time was 4 hours 30 minutes. It all depends on your body. I wouldn't mind being induced again if it meant my labor would be the same.

I was given pitocin with my first to help things along but didn't get any pain meds or epidural. It made the pushing super intense. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it did feel like my whole body was conspiring against me to push with all its might even when I didn't feel ready or was scared about the vaginal pain as baby's head descended. That fear probably didn't help... I'm hoping to go fully natural this time.

I was induced with my first. Got to the hospital around 8am. Had to wait a bit for a room (even tho they called us to come in)

Then they had to give me the meds for GBS.

I don't remember them using the balloon mind you this is 8 years ago. I was hooked up to an iv. Contractions hurt but we're manageable.

When I went into the third phase I wanted some pain relief.  Holy cow! I didn't know at the time that meant I was almost ready to push.

My son was born around 8 pm. So 12 ish hours after I got.there.

I heard this time.around that natural labor is less painful since only one layer of your uterus contracts....

Really hoping that this is true and that I go.into labor by myself.

I did tear a bit but I refused being cut. I didn't want any other interventions like forceps and vacuum...

I was almost 42 weeks.

My mom said it wasn't all that bad. Labor isn't exactly plesant but it was all manageable and they would just come in every so often and up the meds but it was never so much that she couldn't handle the change. Got her epidural, and had me no problem. No forceps, suction, rips, cuts, or c-section
