Zika and TTC

TTC for over a year now (I'm 36), and now I have zika. At least I'll be immune in the future, but my husband hasn't gotten zika yet (as far as

we know, but only a small portion of those infected show symptoms). We live in an area where zika is highly prevalent. The CDC says that zika can live in sperm for 6 months. I am so frustrated that time is ticking, but we keep getting so many obstacles thrown in our way. We want to have a baby so bad, but the risk of having a baby with birth defect scares the crap out of me! I wish i could just give him zika without him having to suffer the symptoms, but still somehow know that he got it so in 6 months we can start trying again. I should also mention, we don't have health insurance because affordable health insurance is not available to us here.
