When did/are going to start giving your baby food off the table and drinks?

We tried starting baby food at 6 months. She wasn't into it. Actually, she's still not into puréed food at 8.5 months.

However, she does like puffs and these freeze dried fruit/veggie baby snacks and we give her other finger foods to try when we have them like a slice of peeled apple, a quarter of a strawberry, etc. Her favorite so far is apple which she gnaws on like a beaver with her 2 bottom teeth, lol.

She makes the funniest faces when she eats 😂

We started baby led weaning at 6 months, so he's never had pureed baby food. He doesn't eat exactly what we're eating every night, but he does eat certain components of our dinners. I just pull out a few extra carrots and green beans (or whatever) and cook them longer for him. He's 7 months now, and he's tried so many things!

My son eats solids but it's foods we make in the baby bullet. We can't feed him from our plates because he has a ton of allergies (including dairy intolerance and peanut allergy) and he has bad reflux. It's hard to know what we can and can't give him.

We started baby led weaning at 5.5 months. The only drink he gets is water. No more than 2 ounces a day.

We did some single ingredient purees at 4 months, but not every day, just as a treat. By 6 months we had moved on to the multiple ingredient purees and some baby solids that are the melt-in-your-mouth type just to make sure he could handle it before introducing actual foods. He loved the Gerber yogurt melts and teething crackers most of all. Now, at 8 months, I let my son eat from my plate when it's "clean" food like bland carbs, non-acidic fruits and veggies, but really no proteins yet. He has been preferring sharing with Mom/Dad over eating his baby food, since I started that. He smiles really wide and looks so proud that he ate something that came from the adult plates.

He also does not have any teeth, I look forward to sharing a little more when they pop up. The first one is on its way!

We waited till 6 months to start solids. I really tried to start with purees. I had even purchased a squeeze station to make my own pouches of food. She didn't like purees at all. She prefers "chewing" her food and prefers to be fed by hand, but now will use a spoon too. Whatever we are eating I try to set aside something she can eat. Last night we had tacos, so I had avocado chunks, cheese and unseasoned black beans. In the mornings, she'd rather eat my steel cut oatmeal than baby food oatmeal. I set some out for her before I add nuts to mine. She tries new things every day and hasn't found much she doesn't like. As long as we cook healthy, she is able to enjoy it. We've done a little bit of chicken and pot roast, but VERY small shredded bit. This has been way more fun than when we started solids for my 11yo when it was just bland bland plainness.

I voted 6-7 months but we don't make a habit of it. She gets pureed food and only handful of times has had soft table food like mashed potatoes or the inside of a fry or mashed up peas or butter beans. She only gets juice when she's constipated.

We started purees at 4 months and I started letting him eat baby friendly things from my plate like vegetables and meat I've chewed up or cut small enough for him.  He really likes rice, refried beans, carrots, and potatoes
