When to tell you're pregnant

I've read before and heard from momsthat it's important to wait until after the first trimester to tell friends and family, but my fiancee has been telling his friends even though I wanted to wait a few more weeks. I'd like to hear from you! Wait or is it ok to tell? I'm about 8 weeks and haven't been to my intake exam yet!

We told our family at 5 weeks and told everyone else publicly at 9 weeks 1 day. I get that it's safe to wait until after 12ish weeks but I feel like if I were to have a miscarriage or anything like that, I shouldn't be ashamed or embarrassed. I feel like it's a stigma and it shouldn't be.

We lost a baby at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks. We are waiting till 14/15 weeks to announce. We are telling our family at 11 weeks I have a date! Lol 12/9. And will announce to every one else on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve!

I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and we started telling everyone this weekend - I read a bunch of places that say the miscarriage rate drops to 2% at 8 weeks and only goes down slightly for the duration of pregnancy, so I figured it was safe enough.

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and my hubby told everyone when we were 4 weeks! The midwife thought I was further on though cause of my dates but that was a massive mix up. When I say everyone, I mean close friends and family! He's just excited to be a dad so I couldn't get on to him too much! ❤️️

I've always been told wait till after the first trimester to make it public. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and only a handful of people know (parents, best friend, a few coworkers, and of course my husband). But it's totally up to you and what y'all are comfortable with.

We was going to wait until 12 weeks because of risk of mc etc. But then we both decided if anything did happen we would want the support From our friends, so why not let them enjoy our excitement also. X

People say wait until the second trimester because that's when your risk of miscarriage decreases significantly. However, I think it's fine to tell people whenever you want.

There shouldn't be such an bad stigmatizm around miscarriage, enjoy every minute of your pregnancy. If something bad does happen, there will be all the more people to support you. I would more so make the decision based on whether you guys prefer to live in privacy or prefer to share your lives.

I announced at 8wks 3days after we confirmed the heartbeat and growth! No regrets what so ever. We tend to share everything with family and close friends, it's important to us.

I was 5 weeks before I told my parents and close friends about baby #2. I told those who I would want or need to talk to if anything were to happen with this pregnancy. In my mind I felt like I would want a good support system to lean on so I wouldn't have to go through the grief alone. I was SOO excited, too, I need someone to share my experience with also! Lol I am so impatient I don't think I could have waited until 2nd trimester to tell my family anyways! 😂😜
