PLEASE HELP!! Why am I bleeding?!

I am on day 17 of my 38 day cycle. Period due in 15 days and I never have a period come earlier than 2 days. My boyfriend and I have sex very often. I'd say about every other day to every other 2 days. My period is also very dark and very clotty. Even on the first day. I have no idea what this bleeding is. I've never had bleeding like this before. I need help!!
