what is happening?

Ok, so I had been on the Contraceptive Patch for 8 years, got married in July and removed the patch just after the wedding. I got my withdrawal period as normal in July regular flow and the normal length about 5 days. I then didn't get my next 'real' period until mid September, it was extremely light and mostly brownish/dark red like spotting and only lasted 2-3 days. My next period was also a bit late end of October/beginning of November. It was very light brownish spotting again and lasted well over a week, started getting a bit heavier mid week but mostly very light and no blood at all really. Is this really my period? I feel it is as I'm still getting slight cramps. Does that mean I'm able to get pregnant? Or do I need to wait until I get a proper period? If anyone has had this and knows how long it takes to get my period normal again and why there's spotting. I assume it's just because I had been on the patch for years and I need to get the hormones out of my system, get my body used to a normal period again.
