Pain during sex

Me and my boyfriend have been having sex for just over 3 months now. It was painful at first, which I expected, but it still causes me a lot of pain and at times it only feels like it's getting worse. It's usually most painful when he first enters me, then it goes away. But with any change of position or sometimes just slight movements like him moving his legs a bit it starts to hurt again. The only time it isn't painful is when I'm drunk. Due to this we don't have sex nearly as often as either of us would like, and I really wish we could but the fear of all that pain often puts me off. I hate it and want it to stop. Is it normal to still feel pain after 3 months?
