Husband asked me to quit talking about the baby...
I'll be the first to admit- I've been rather "baby crazy" lately. Between reading the books, decorating the nursery, finishing our registry, researching, listening to podcasts, and talking about my body changes and symptoms, I've probably exhausted my husband. However, I assumed if anyone wanted to be "obsessed" with me it would be my husband. We're both first time parents. Tonight he asked me if I could quit talking about the baby so much. He said I talk about it too much and I need to talk about something else. It's definitely not the only thing I talk to him about, but probably the topic I bring up most often. Anyone else? Of course this hurt my feelings- am I warranted or hormonal?
UPDATE: I told him last night he really hurt my feelings, and he let me know that he feels jealous. He feels I already love the baby more than him, and don't care about him or his life as much now. I think this partially explains why he was hoping for a girl, but it's a boy. Anyone else ever deal with a hubby feeling jealous of a son?
