Will you "prep" your vjay for labor?

I had my first Brazilian wax ...well, first wax ever down there. Oh boy!! Anyway I'm 39 wks and I figured why not?

I just did a 'shave by feel' yesterday... I have no idea what it looks like down there... But at least I tried! lol

In a perfect world I'd shave mine.. But I can't see it and I am lazy 😩 Sooo she's being neglected until further notice. I at least keep my legs shaved, lol

I straight up asked my doctor, and she said not to. She said when you're very likely to hurt yourself shaving at this point and that it is VERY uncomfortable having hair grow in when you're trying to heal from delivery (something I would not have thought of). She added that no OB staff cares at all, either.

I will try with my electric shaver. I can't see anything down there so I'm DEF not going down there with a razor. And I've had plenty of Brazilians before but I've heard that the increased blood volume makes that area even more sensitive during pregnancy - and with all the crap I'm going through - and all the trauma my poor vagina will go through soon - im just not putting myself through a wax. I figure these doctors have seen it all - a less than perfect trim job is not going to offend them.

Props to you for choosing your first time to wax at 39 weeks!! I go monthly and I just went a couple days ago (39 weeks today) it was pretty awful!

I've heard from friends that it makes it worse when you shave or wax because of you get stitches which most women do because they tear that when the hair gross back through the stitches it hurts super bad and is super uncomfortable and also cause ingrown hairs

I can't see it so not much I can do, plus my hubby dosnt care if it's crazy so the doctor will just have to deal with it lol
