Feeding Times

My LO is a month old, he eats anywhere from 2 oz to 4 oz.  He eats every 2 to 3 hours...I guess I am just curious from others experience...if he is already eating 4 oz sometimes how will these 4 oz hold him over for up to 4 hours?  Will he just kind of even out and the 4 oz will hold him over?  Could his formula be too easy for him to digest?  Pediatrician says he is very healthy and looks great.  So just wondering what others have experienced!  Thanks!
