Should I try castor oil?

Deciding if I should try castor oil... really on the fence if it's dangerous or not.

1st baby was a c section as he was transverse
2nd baby was a week over past his due date and I went crazy! So my mil made me a drink with like a whole damn bottle of caster oil and oj... I downed it and woke up four hours later to my water breaking!!! DONT TAKE THAT MUCH lol he was fine and was born healthy and was unmedicated VBAC 
3rd baby I was 39 weeks and 3 days... and decided I was gunna have him! Lol so I took 2oz of caster oil and a drink from tropical smoothie drank it at 10 am had one or two BM and then 1 pm my contractions started... he was born at 11 that night
NOW THIS BABY!!! I've tried it twice... I'm 6 days away from my due date... I was needing to use it bc I've been *cough backed up? From all the iron naaaaammmmsayin 😂😅 soo tried it twice wasn't bad but nothing happened either sooo if the baby and your body aren't ready lady ant nothin gonna work

How far along are you?? Are you dilated and effaced yet? 
I tried castor oil two times to try to bring on labor, help my daughter out a little. But here I am 4 days away from my due date and still pregnant. 
Now that I am closer I'm tempted to take a small amount to see if it will trigger labor to start

Castor oil was not a pleasant experience for me what so ever. I couldn't imagine being able to even know you are having real contractions or not. 
So much pain just from the runs. 
They register as real contractions in the hospital but no progress and no labor. Just a waste of time for hubby and I.

And this might be TMI:

My booty hole hurt so bad from going to the bathroom so much, felt like it was on fire and swollen.. I was terrified to push to pee, I didn't want to go #2 anymore. 
I got no sleep due to the fact I was constantly using the bathroom. 
I actually am curious if this is just a myth but some women swear by it. Didn't work for me.

I'm on the fence about trying again. 
Again not telling you what you should or shouldn't do cause I'm desperate myself right now. Just wanted you to know the fun of the castor oil lol.

I am debating it too. I'm almost 41 weeks and getting desperate. My midwife personally used it with her last two and it worked. She did have diarrhea but as long as you don't take too much that will pass. She also told me there is no fact linking castor oil and the baby's first poo. The further you go the more of a chance you have of that happening anyway. It is a natural oil so I will probably do it if he doesn't come soon. It's better than getting induced in my option and all the horror stories are from people taking too much or not the right way. Talk to your doctor.

I did it. It literally did NOTHING. Still ended up induced. And baby had a BM during birth, I think probably from the castor oil.

I tried it at 38w2d. Gave me mild contractions for 7 hours 2-4 minutes apart. Didn't even change my cervix. I ended up being induced a week later at 39w3d. He's now 5 days old and I still wish it would've worked! Lol but if I'm pregnant again I won't try it again.

My midwife said that it's a myth the only thing it will do to you is give you an upset stomach.

I tried it twice. No baby or dihrrhea. But I only took about an ounce each time rather than the 2-4 ounces I've seen some women take.

My nurse said that out of 10 babies that she has to deliver dead, 7 are from castor oil. So not worth the risk.

I wouldn't just because i heard it gives you diarrhea and when I get diarrhea I get it SO BAD I would not wish it on my worst enemy lol. Also would be afraid of the baby passing meconium.
