when to tell?

My boyfriend pretty much told all our friends already(our close friends) his sister&bil&his dad. My mom knows. I plan on telling my dad and his mom soon. But when do you think we should tell the rest of our families and post it on social media? At thanksgiving I'll be 7 weeks. So maybe tell family then? And post on social media around Christmas?
