Labour????

Question

Can labour start right away at 5 minutes apart?? I had about 3 contractions before I realized I was having contractions so I started timing them and they're all close to 5 minutes apart. I'm a first time mom so I'm not sure if it's actual labour or not. I just don't want to get my hopes up and call my husband who's at work for another 3 hours just for it to be false labour

Update: At the hospital right now, 5 cm dilated and contracting A LOT

They say to keep track for an hour if they're close together. They could stop or they could grow in intensity!

Labour can definetly start like that! Keep track of your contractions like you are! I'd give your husband a call let him know the situation, plus you could also call labour and delivery for advice on whether to go down there! Good luck mumma!

Yup!!! This was me Sunday morning. I thought I was having poop cramps & actually did go a couple times between them- but the app popped up twice telling me I should head to the hospital... I got there at 7:30am still thinking I may just be preparing for epic diarrhea, and was literally holding our daughter at 8:59am.
So yeah, when my contractions started, they were serious from the get-go LOL
