pregnancy safe medication?

For mental stability? 
I have been experiencing depression, anxiety, etc and I am just at a loss. 
I want to tell my doctor how I've been feeling but not if there's nothing she can do. Is there any sort of pregnancy safe mood stabilizers she could prescribe to me? I mean this is out of hand. 
I am this close to smoking weed. And I don't want to do that and fail a drug test.

It amazes me that a man-made medication is legal and deemed "safe" but a natural herb gets you in trouble! Yes I was on medication with my second pregnancy. I didn't like the way it made me feel though. My personality has ups and downs. That's emotion. That's life. I don't feel right having just one mood. Just like a haze over my mind all the time.

Yes there is some, talk to your OB about what you can do. Don't go without.

Talk to her and go see a psychiatrist (because your obgyn can't prescribe those kinds of meds.) But absolutely, if you're really finding yourself unable to cope, tell your doctor!  Meds like that aren't recommended, no, BUT the caveat is that you be able to function without them. If you can't, then the risk outweighs the reward and I'm sure your doctor would rather you be taking something :) I stopped my meds but am able to function. But my doc told me if I'm not, she wants me back on them.

My ob wouldn't do anything for me... went to psych hospital and they put me on the absolute lowest dose of Zoloft. Prior to pregnancy I was on a super high dose of it.... the low does did absolutely nothing for me just as much as if I wasn't taking it so I just quit and struggle with my ups and downs cuz they wouldn't do anything else and can't put me on anything enough to help....

Ive going through the same thing. My doctor referred me to seek therapy and see a psychiatrist and the psychiatrist prescribed me with lamictal with a low doseage, he told me it was one of the safest they could give me and since ive taken it before in the past before i got pregnant i already know more or less how it affects me.

Your doctor will not make you go without if you are suffering. Mental health issues are just important to take care of as physical illnesses. Talk to your doctor and get some medicine ASAP! It'll be okay :)

There are some that are deemed safe, or at least safer than having major depression/anxiety issues. They can also work on counseling/therapy and developing coping mechanisms. 
I'd avoid smoking, not just because there's not a lot of studies on its effects in pregnancy, but you definitely don't want to deal with job/legal issues.  Not saying it's right/wrong, but that would be my fear.
