Minorities in Britain: Have things calmed down over there after Brexit?

I am an American citizen but also a minority by ethnicity. After seeing all these terrible things already happening in America within 24 hours of Trump becoming the president elect, I was immediately reminded of the disgusting comments and behaviors displayed by Brexit supporters towards minorities in England. Things like "Get out" or "Your time's up, time to go back home", open verbal and physical threats in public... I'm disgusted and nervous about living in my own country. Have things calmed down in England any after that initial wave? What's it like there now? The same, better, or worse?

I'd appreciate any first-hand feedback from actual minority residents or citizens of Britain, thank you. ❤️

Brexit has changed nothing. Very few people used it as an excuse for discrimination and nobody really even discusses it anymore (the public). Brexit is nothing like it's been made out to be.

I'm in the UK and I voted remain.  I still think it's a mistake to leave but that's democracy.  After following the leave campaign and Donald Trump I feel really scared about how much intolerance there is out there, I feel like we're going back in time not making progress

I'm British, after the origin brexit vote where we found out we are leaving the EU (I voted to leave) there was a lot of racism and hate crimes committed on immigrants. 
Now it has settled down thankgod & there hasn't been any stories on the news about it for a few months now. We won't officially leave the EU for a few more years yet.

It's really scary here in America right now as a minority. It has brought all of the extreme dangerous racist out. I have been too afraid to leave my house since the results. My anxiety has been off the charts. I hope to God it gets better

When we found out we were leaving the EU (😭), I knew a lot of people I knew irl who were very angry and upset. There were quite a few arguments and tiffs between friends who had opposing views, and it did get very heated. We had petitions on the internet, protests in London and everyone was talking/complaining about it for a few weeks. Things are fizzling down now though and people I know are starting to accept that it is indeed a democracy and that it's really important not to be divided atm cause it'll just cause more problems than we need. The last thing we want is for 50% of the country to hate the other when we're going to be standing on our own two feet soon. I also agree that it's not fair to try and call another referendum and to continue protesting, because this is what our people want (unfortunately, lol!) Hopefully things will calm down over there too, but do expect things to stay heated for at least a few months!

I'm honestly scared to take any road trips or drive alone. I stay in Texas we're already aware of unfriendly areas (small towns) for minorities but I think now it's even worst.

I live in Britain. Where I live that never happens. In the uk in general there was a edgy slight increase in such problems. The majority of xenophobic/racist hate crimes and abuse are and always have directs towards Muslims who have little to do with Brexit. Quite frankly it really annoys me when people compare leaving to Donald Trump. Some of the things trump said we downright racist. Brexit was just about reducing immigration. Some people saw it as open season on Eastern Europeans for like a week but they were lower class so if they we're beating up eu nationals (or rather threatening to) they would have been hurling abuse at the opposing football team. You can't compare it to the crazy white/black supremacy stuff going on in America. In Beitain it's about being British. Not what colour you are.
