26w today: pre-eclampsia ankles photos 🤒
I was looking & feeling fine until about 2.5 days ago. I've been in hospital 1.5 days. I woke up yesterday with a madly puffed up face & slitty eyes that my own reflection in the mirror stunned me. Called obstetrician & he told me to have my blood pressure checked at a local pharmacy. It was HIGH. So he told me to come in ASAP, bag packed for a 5-night stay.
Now I'm kind of stabilised with lots of meds. Lots. And 4 hourly blood pressure checks. So I'm staying put at hospital. They're hoping to keep baby in me a good few more days & give me steroid shots to help his lungs, while keeping my vitals under close watch & control.
He could come any day, by c-section. Medically necessary - no choice in the matter.
