Nipples and other body parts changing color?!

Question

So....I was reading some today about women's nipples and labia becoming dark during pregnancy! Really?! I know nipples because the milk production, etc...but labia? Why? And if yours did, what did your significant other and/or husband say? It just seems weird to me 😊. Thanks guys!

i think part of it also is significant increase in blood flow to those areas

My nipples are almost black and I hate it!! As far as the other nothing has changed thus far. 21w

It's just an effect of the hormonal changes accompanying pregnancy. My nipples became darker and labia became puffy and darker. It goes away a few months post partum.
