Question

Have any of you gone through a natural miscarriage? If so, first off I am so very sorry for you and your family.
Second, did you have a hard time eating? I feel every time I eat, things get worse and more painful. 
Also, how long did you bleed for? Did you take any time off work? 
This is my first miscarriage and I am passing everything naturally but I have no idea what to expect.

I passed naturally at 6wks and did take a week off being my first, I had no idea how much pain I'd be in physical as well as emotionally. I had no real appetite for awhile. Mainly due to the fact that I could not taste any food for the following two weeks as my hormones tried to balance again. All our bodies are different and recover differently. I found milkshakes, soup or chicken nuggets helped (especially since it's all I could slightly taste). Feel better soon!

I had a natural MC at 6w2d in October 2016. Within 24 hours of an ultrasound confirming a living pregnancy, I began experiencing terrible cramps, bleeding, and passed tissue. The first bit of tissue I passed was the baby- it was encased in a fluid-filled sac and intact. I couldn't believe what I was seeing at first... I was petrified when it finally dawned on me what I was potentially holding (on a piece of toilet paper) in my hand. Then, about 30 minutes later I passed a huge amount of tissue all at once... and then the cramping ceased for a little while and I knew it was all over. It was one of the most personally traumatic experiences of my life. It happened relatively quickly, but the emotional and mental pain have been unrelenting. I was out from work for 3 weeks before I felt like I could regain some normalcy in my life. We've been trying for so long- this loss has been torturous. I truly hope that all of us who have experienced this kind of loss will one day hold our rainbow babies, and that the mental, physical, and emotional anguish will have all been completely worth it! 🙏🏻 ❤️💛💚💙💜🌈👶🏻

I had brown spotting for 4 days before I was taken seriously enough to be checked. The baby had passed by then. I actually went back to the er the next day because I had such horrible pains that felt like back labor. I never bled heavily and it was nothing like I expected. I took the next week off of work for my mental health. Physically I could have done my job, but I just needed to be alone to mourn in my own way. 
I've had 3 previous pregnancies and births. This was my first miscarriage. It was just two weeks of spotting. I feel like it would have been easier if it were more dramatic and a swift ending like the movies. The dragging on felt endless.

So sorry for your loss. I'm going through the same thing right now - miscarriage happened naturally yesterday, but I've known about the baby's death for almost a week. I took a few days off of work after I found out, and I've definitely needed a day to rest after it happened. I've had a lot of trouble eating too, but I think it's because of all the emotions and frequent crying episodes. Let your body tell you what it needs, and don't feel bad about needing time to heal - this is a traumatic experience, and you have to care for yourself. ❤️

I had a natural miscarriage in January and was terifyed as I also didn't know what to expect. I was even travelling - few flights one was even delayed a lot. It was like a period but just some more clots, nothing too bad physically. Worst part was the emotional aspect - the saddness and fear of not knowing what to expect as the doctor didn't give me any information. It lasted about 7 days. Then some bleeding on and off for the next 3 months. Trust your body, it will take care of everything. Call the doctor if you fill more than 1 pad per hour or if you are in too much pain. I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully everything will go fast and smoothly and you will be able to try again when you want to. Hugs and take care of your body and your soul ❤️
