my labor and delivery story.
I was in labor for 30+ hours. Went in for an induction 11/5 and started cervix softener. Started pitocin the next morning. Was only dilated to a 2. Decided to stop pitocin because it hurt so bad. Then dilated to a 5 and my water broke at around 4pm, started pitocin and got epidural. Was checked at 10pm and dilated to an 8. Woke up at 2:45am and nurse said doctor stopped pitocin because it caused hearrate to drop. Checked me again and I was still an 8. Doctor said if no progress was made by 5am, I would have a csection. I called her back in at 3:15 and told her to tell the doctor I wanted the csection ASAP. Rushed into emerging csection and found out my baby boy was face up and the cord was wrapped around his body. He was born at 4:47am.
It was a hard labor but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
