induced and epidural

So I hear when you get induced it makes your contractions so much stronger. Well my doctor said she is going to talk to my other doctor and let her know she recommends I deliver like Monday or Tuesday because I'm overweight and they don't want me to go past 40 weeks even though so far baby and I are fine. Well my original plan was to NOT get an epidural but I'm thinking if I'm going to get induced that I'm going to want one if it's going to suck really bad. Anyone have experience with this?
