BIG Change of Plans

A&B❤️
Long story, sorry.
Okay so with my pituitary tumor, I am supposed to notify my doctor of any visual changes I notice. Well at 39 weeks(this past Saturday) I was at work and noticed blurriness and my eyes acted like they wanted to cross. So my OB told me to go to L&D and get it checked out. Got there and they did an MRI, the tumor had grown. Because of this they did a CT scan, but if showed that I was very UNLIKELY to hemorrhage, so they decided to wait and induce until my OB arrived Sunday night. Well Sunday morning at 1220 my little boys heart beat dropped into the 70's and held there for a while, after this the on call OB watched his rate for a while and then decided to induce at 3 am Sunday morning. I was hurting fiercely at 8:30, when, unbeknownst to me, the shut the pitocin off because my sons heart rate was still acting up. Yet I continued to have severe contractions on my own with no progress. I got and epidural around 10 am and shortly after the OB broke my water. They were getting my comfortable when my sons heart rate dropped when I was propped to one side. We watched it for a minute and switched sides, this actually made it worse. Do the RN said we needed to go back to the other side and his heart rate dropped to the 60's. The OB came in and moved the monitor which they had just placed on his head, his heart rate went to low 100's and then came right back down. He said to rush me to the operating room for c-sections. My husband ran out to tell the family that they were doing an emergency c-section. I was worried that he wasn't going to make it back in time to hear our son cry for the first time because the anesthesiologist said they were cutting me open before my husband even got in there. Well he made it in and out son was born via emergency c-section. Apgar score at 1 minute was 8 and at 5 minutes was 9. We cried and cried and cried when we heard our son whimper and cry for the first time.
This was so not what I was expecting but I am so happy that my son was born healthy.
