new bottle nipples?

Question

My baby is breastfed but attends daycare during the week and gets his milk from a bottle. I have two questions:
1. How often do you replace the bottle nipples?
2. He is 6 months and still using a level 1 nipple. Should I change that? My concern is making it too easy to get the milk out and then he no longer wants the breast. 
Any advice is appreciated!

My daughter is almost 6 months and she is still one 1. I tried 2 and she didn't like it and then I found out that it wasn't advised to prevent impatience with breast feeding. So sticking to 1 since she seems ok either her bottle flow.

My pediatrician said to never change from step 1. Because of what you said about the ease of milk when switching back and forth between bottle and breast. From what I read it depends on usage but most recommend 3 months for nipples to be replaced and to check for cracks in the nipples and make sure the hole isn't getting too stretched or worn.

My baby doesn't get many bottles but we use level 1 nipples. My LC said that our nipples don't change flow so we don't need to change the flow on bottle nipples. Made complete sense to me!

I use a level 2 on her sippy bottle trainer and level 1 on her other bottles I don't plan to switch at all..EBF

We switched to size 2 but he seemed to be working super hard to get the milk out.  He will always get more from you than a bottle though. My son was also tongue tied so he was working extra hard w feedings and a bottle. If she's not all sweaty and worked up from a bottle I would said size 2 is fine.

I changed to 2 and now my daughter gets very impatient while breast feeding:( wish I would've stayed on 1

I also use level 1 of the avent natural for her bottles n just got their transition sippy cup as well. Baby girl is 6 months

I just change to level 2. She didn't like it. So I changed back to her previous one.
