leaking amniotic fluid?

Anyone leaking amniotic fluid? I'm 25 weeks and started leaking a couple days ago. Filled up a couple pads and started having pains today... nothing excruciating, but definitely uncomfortable a few inches under belly button. I don't want to freak out over nothing because I know it can be pretty common around the third trimester. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

Leaking amniotic fluid isn't common and requires medical attention. I'd call your doctor ASAP

Leaking amniotic fluid is NOT common and NOT normal this early. You need to get that checked ASAP. If it is prolonged you can develop and intrauterine infection. Please go in and get that checked. Like now.

Leaking amniotic fluid at any time is a cause of concern as there is a risk on infection to the baby.
You need to go have it tested.

Now, it may not be your amniotic fluid but you won't know without the test.

I had fluid leaks at 30 weeks and then ongoing starting at 38 weeks. They tested and it wasn't amniotic fluid. I told my OB that I feel silly every time going to the hospital saying I'm leaking and finding out it's nothing. He said that he thinks it's a hind water leak (one bag of water is leaking but not the main one) but I still should get it checked every time regardless.
My actual waters never ended up breaking and they broke them while I was in labor in the hospital.

We're you checked by a doctor? I would assume if you're leaking amniotic fluid they wouldn't just send u home, its a big deal. I thought I was leaking last week's dn I called and they flipped and said they wanted to see me within the hour. I wasn't leaking I had an infection but they didnt take it lightly at my office.

yes please go get checked out asap!!! They can test and see whether it's amniotic fluid or not. I know with both my girls my water leaked at 39 weeks and they wouldn't let me go to far passed 24 hours. It is not good to be leaking that early! Big infections can kick in quick! Hope all is well and it's just cervical mucus. I know cervical mucus gets worse as your are closer to the 3rd tri.

Agreed if you think you are leaking amniotic fluid I'd go get checked. It is common to have liquidity discharge but if it's filling pads and you're having cramping get checked. Once your water breaks your risk of preterm labor and infection go up a lot.
