thoughts on the flu shot?

Hey ladies! I'm just wondering what everyone's views are on the flu shot. I've never gotten a flu shot and neither has my husband. My son didn't get one last year, but his dr was really pushy about it. I didn't like that. How do you guys feel about it?

I don't get them, never have, never plan too and almost never get sick. My husband gets it every year and every year he gets sick.

Got it once years ago & will never get it again not even pregnant. Do your research and make an informed decision. You're going to get a lot of pros/cons-anti/pro vaxxers on here. You have to decide what's best for your family!

I didn't risk it. I got mine in the hospital before they discharged me. I felt like it was the best protection for baby. He escaped getting it in utero, and then I still had it. I frankly think the flu shot is hit and miss anyway.

I had mine about 35 weeks and had no side affects at all

I just had mine when I was 34weeks😫😫😫 feel sick and sore for a couple days😫😫😫

As a family we don't get them either. Doctors are always pushy about it but I stand firm. No thank you!

The flu shot we get is different to everyone else's. I've got it and I am fine, it's a personal choice, it just gives antibodies to baby, same as the whooping cough. Again..  personal choice.

I think it's a great idea if you regularly deal with the general public, are around anyone with a compromised immune system, or have a reason where you or your family really can't get sick this season. I never used to bother when it was just hubby and I and I was working housekeeping, but now that we have a new baby and I work in healthcare, I'll be getting it this year. 😊
