birth photographer?

Question

Anyone having a photographer or videographer in the delivery room? I originally wasn't going to do it, but now that time is getting closer I keep thinking more about it. Interested in what others are doing?

My hospital has a photographer that takes pictures for you if you want. Non obligation to buy the pictures, but it's nice to know we don't have to worry about it and the service is free. I'd definitely check yours just in case, it's a nice middle ground if you haven't decided one way or the other.

Just remember to check out the facility that your having your baby policy.  I work at the hospital I'm giving birth I know our policy is no photography during labor and no video. You actually have to ask permission to record us doing anything.  This even includes up on the floor I work on (ortho surgical).  It's a liability thing

I am my best friend is a photographer so she brought it to my attention at first I was really freaked out about the idea and she showed me pictures she's done in the past and it was game changer for me. Seeing the raw and true emotions of everyone in the room a long with things that the mom doesn't get a chance to witness with the baby they are truly incredible pictures
