Super moon baby

Amanda
At my 36 week appointment I got the go ahead to get off the procardia I had been on for pre term labor since 23 weeks, I also found out I was 5 cm already my Dr expected me to go anytime but instead I just had early labor for a little over a week. Then on Sunday November 13 at 8:00pm I felt my water break and we headed to labor and delivery. I was good till about 11:30pm then contractions were horrendous. It was about 1 am when I couldn't take it anymore and found out I really could have an epidural which I previously thought wasn't an option due to a medical condition I have. Before I could get it though I had to finish a bag of fluids, I decided to get on a birthing ball but first the nurse checked me and was still only a 6 the plan was I finish the fluids get the epidural and start pitocin to get things moving faster since my water had already broken, I got on the ball and did my best to work through the contractions when I finally finished the fluids 45 min later the nurse wanted me on the bed to check me before the epidural was started I was able to get on the bed but got the worst contraction and had horrible pressure in my butt. I was on my side my mom pressing on my back. I then felt the uncontrollable need to poop which I couldn't stop. The poor nurse didn't bat an eye and was cleaning me up when I had the feeling again i didn't feel bad for doing it though I was listening to my body.after the second pooping urge I was like I feel her head the nurse told me to roll over to check which when I did the urge came again my mom and the nurse who were the only ones there were like breathe through it um no that ain't happening lol so I beared down and my precious 6# 4oz 17.5 inch little girl plopped out on the bed at 3:16 am to the nurse and my mom's surprise. Thank God nurses know what they are doing. The nursery nurses were yelled for and started attending to the baby while the nurse helped me deliver the placenta. Since the Dr had not shown up yet. When she got there all she had to do was sew me up. Baby did have minor breathing issues but is now fine. I got the shakes real bad which is apparently is because of the hormones. It was definitely not expected but makes for a great story lol. Meet Zoey Faith born November 14 6lbs 4 oz 17.5 inches at 3:16am right around the time the super moon started get its brightest.
