Nope :) they use the copper iud as emergency contraceptive too, the copper kills speak sells because of the chemical reactions. I just had mine taken out.

Your period will stop at some point with your iud. I thought I was pregnant with mine it but I was told by my doctor that it's really hard to get pregnant with an iud and that your period will stop at some time due to the lining being so thin in your uterus.
