How many c-section's?

Has anyone had 3 successful c-sections? I am on baby #2 and I will be having another c-section but I want 3 kids. How common is maternal death with 3 c-sections?

I think the risks have more to do with how close you have them rather than how many you have. When you have them back to back it's obviously more dangerous because you havent allowed your body to fully heal from the previous. My first 2 were 3 years apart. This one will be 4 years since my last.

Vaginal birth after cesarean is still an option for most people! Don't let your doctor just schedule you a cesarean without asking. Maternal death is always a concern with a cesarean, it is a major surgery.

So, a vaginal birth can be done after 2-3 sections depending on what your doctor/hospital policy is, and how you were repaired after the previous sections.  After 4, it is HIGHLY recommended not to keep doing them. That's when it becomes very difficult and very dangerous for you and baby. Always always ALWAYS make sure that you are in control when it comes to scheduling c sections, your doctor may be open to letting you do a VBAC, if he isn't there may be another doctor who is!

My sister had 4 back to back. She was told it was dangerous. And it was highly recommended that she tie her tubes. ( she did ) I'm guessing there is suppose to be a waiting period in between

I've had 5 c-section. Depends on many factors but I came through ok. Once the Dr. Gets in and sees your scar during the surgery he can advise if you could carry again.
