is tuna safe?

I've heard plenty of mixed reviews, and still am not sure. Is tuna safe? My craving is a tuna salad sandwich, and I might just die without it.

Tuna is perfectly safe. There is some concern about levels of mercury so you're not supposed to have like more than three servings a week. I think the real hysteria from tuna comes from the idea of having it with mayonnaise that contains raw egg. While that wouldn't be enough to dissuade me either, I think you're fine eating tuna.

I ate tuna every week! Just not from anywhere that it might have been sitting out - ate cans of it at home mostly with meals or in wraps and only a couple times a week. 
I'm certain it did my baba good!

It's a mercury issue (which is a very real risk unlike most of the food concerns during pregnancy). But you can definitely have some once in a while!
