FTM here..what kind of pads postpartum?

I know this isn't a glamorous topic, but I need some recommendations! I usually use tampons and I know thats a big no no after having the baby. I know the hospital gives you some pads, but what kind should I get when those run out? I haven't shopped for maxi pads in years and I am not looking forward to wearing one! What kind do you ladies reccomended?

Many people have recommended the Always Infinity in the orange/yellow wrapper.   I had used them in the past one for period and liked them so I will try them for after pregnancy too.

So- for the first month I needed depends underwear. After that I switched to always wings overnights. This is bleeding unlike anything you've ever seen and I can't stand leaking- so that's my advice.

Invest in some black comfy cotton undies too. Really helps not ruin all you decent underwear. But agreed, any Maxi Pad brand / night brand with wings is the way to go. Maternity pads feel like a boat between your legs. 🙈

I'm gonna rely on Always underwear for a while I think! But Target brand pads are really great if you're going that route- I use them for my monthly needs over Always because they're just as great for a better price!

Get different kinds for different flows. At first it will be very heavy and you will be changing your pad often, but then it will go down to a more period like flow, so you could get a smaller, more normal pad. Then you will likely have light bleeding and spotting for a few weeks so you may want some light pads and panty liners as well. I never thought about this and only Bought the heavy duty ones and after a couple weeks didn't need those anymore!

Always infinity overnight! They were great after my son 3 years ago and I plan on using them again. Probably the most comfortable or at least less diaper like than many others.
