How long before you were married?

How long were y'all dating before y'all got engaged? Me and mine are going on 5 years about to be 6.

We were dating for 5 months, but the true proposal (now that he has the ring) will make it our 7 months.

I never wanted to get married but my fiance proposed after living together for 10 years.Still not married going on 22 years together.I think ill marry him..Hes a keeper.😊We got 2 kids together and about to have our 3.

We were together maybe 8 months before we got engaged  utbi knew my husband for about 10 years before that. He was my brothers best friend lol

A bit over four years, and had been living together for about three and a half years (rent is super high in Brooklyn, that's why we moved in together so soon).

We got engaged over last Christmas :)

Still haven't set a date, though, because my dad offered to pay for it, and he's currently interviewing for a new job. So, we're waiting on him getting his new job, so that he has enough money to go all out and throw us our dream wedding.

The waiting is hard, but I know that it will be worth it. We're thinking of having the ceremony/celebration September 2017, but we'll most likely get legally married before then.
