"Safe zone"??

Question

When did you feel it was right to tell people about your pregnancy? I'll  be 10 weeks tomorrow and my so and mother are the only ones that know.

I think I was 11 weeks when we announced. We were just so excited we couldn't wait and honestly if something did happen, it's nice to have people's support. Miscarriage is a loss and it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's hard to deal with so if people know they can be there for you. But hopefully that's not something you will have to worry about anyway, that's just my reasoning. Do what feels right to you!

Some people tell immediately, but most I know wait until the second trimester. With my first (and only so far 😒) pregnancy last year we told everyone right away but then I had a miscarriage and having to tell everyone was horrible. My aunt has memory problems because she's on a lot of pain meds for a condition, so she never could remember and kept calling me, asking about how me and baby were doing and that was torture while trying to heal. Next time, we won't tell ANYONE (not even our parents) until the second trimester, maybe not even until 16 weeks when we find out the gender.

I was one of those that were really excited about it and couldn't wait. I told close friend and family members around 6 weeks. Other people just found out as I got more pregnant 😂

Most of my friends started telling best friends and immediate family around ten weeks then announced it to everyone after 12-13 weeks. There's always a small chance someone can go wrong so tell whoever you are comfortable with knowing.

I waited til 21 weeks after my anatomy scan I'm 24 weeks now... I've also lost a few...

This is how I look at it (based on my experience 1 mc/1stillborn) no one is promised tomorrow not even our unborn...But you and the person you love created life and that life deserves to be celebrated! think you should tell whoever you want whenever your ready. I understand that waiting until 12 weeks is kind of the norm and yea a loss does make for some uncomfortable conversations but as the mom if anything happens(God forbid!) your going to be uncomfortable anyways so keeping it a secret just causes you to suffer alone. Really its not about the comfort of the mama but the general public who still look at loss like its taboo. The point is do whatever feels right for you I for one will tell our family right away! 💙💗good luck to you!

We told family at 12 weeks due to 2 previous miscarriages. I didn't tell anyone at work until I was 6 months and starting to show.
