I like this one from CVS. It has multiple attachment heads for underarm, oral, and rectal use. Personally at this age, for me, it's easiest to use the rectal head because I find it gives the fastest most accurate reading! We also have a temporal thermometer that we use on occasion but those can be pricy and don't always give accurate temps! Hope I could help!

I just have a cheap Safety 1st one from Target, I think it was like $14. I actually bought 2, one for rectal use and one for mouth/underarm. It works great, very fast, you get a reading within 10 seconds which is what I wanted.

I had been looking at the big fancy ones, but they vary so much in price and there wasn't any consensus on which ones were really reliable. So I just stuck with a plain, normal one and I'm glad I did.
